The warm light of the morning sun highlights the tops of mountain ridges and the colorful fall foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains south of Asheville, NC. The southern Appalachian Mountains are always spectacular during the height of fall foliage in October, and especially so when you're lucky enough to catch the deep and scenic mountain views when the autumn colors are splashed in the golden light of early morning.
